Tips
Even if you're not inclined to do service checks yourself, it's always a good idea to get a feel for the build of your bike.
Simple maintenance at home can help keep your bike looking its best between scheduled maintenance visits to Harley-Davidson:
Clean the battery terminals and cover them with insulating grease to prevent corrosion.
Inspect pivot points and moving parts for signs of wear or interference.
Use a multimeter to check the permanent voltage at each battery terminal.
Check that there are no leaks in the front fork and any fluid leaks under the bike.
Check blown valves and make sure you have spare parts for any emergency.
